aboutthebookI met my true love when I was twenty-seven. He was handsome, charming, witty, and irresistible. Jayden Monroe came along when I was struggling with indecision and made things simple, turned monochrome into vivid color, and forever altered my perspective on life.

I was not naive enough to believe in happily ever after, but with Jayden, it seemed possible . . . until I realized something wasn’t quite right.

You see, I met a man who would be anyone I needed him to be, and after I found out that fact, I knew it would be impossible to walk away. His disorder, however, would change everything I ever thought about love and what it truly meant to accept someone for who they are.

This is not my sob story; this is his success story.

MyReviewLoving the White Liar is a genuinely sweet romance of finding strength and perseverance to overcome major obstacles to be with the person that you love. I found this story to be so interesting! I had no idea how extreme ADHD could be not only personally but also how much it could completely impact someone’s ability to even be in a relationship as well.

Hilary and Jayden were the perfect fit for each other. Every thing between them seemed to be easy and carefree..until it wasn’t at all. Their situation was so complicated, confusing, and truly sad for both Jayden and Hilary. I felt so badly for Jayden, knowing how difficult his life already was but also in his thinking that he would never have enough to offer someone else. I absolutely admired Hilary for her perseverance in seeking answers to help her find the strength to make her relationship with Jayden work. It’s never easy all the time, but that right there my friends, is how the best relationships succeed. I am so glad that Stewart was able to give her characters such willingness and strength!

‘This is forever,’ he whispered. ‘No matter how bad we beat the shit out of it. You and me, we are always.’

This was very well written and kept me engaged throughout. The plot not only intrigued me, but I found the whole story to be very interesting. There was a lot of depth in the writing, but I really wanted to know even more details about Jayden and Hilary’s relationship as it progressed. At points it felt a bit choppy to me, although I figure that Stewart didn’t want to throw too much at her readers. I did feel surprised that Hilary didn’t realize the extent of Jayden’s disorder earlier on in their relationship, but this isn’t my story to tell. Stewart states in the beginning that this was inspired from her own personal relationship with her husband having ADHD as well.

Jayden and Hilary’s journey was truly a success story, and I really enjoyed this sweet romance. Kate Stewart continues to impress!

Abouttheauthor

Kate Stewart lives in Charleston, S.C. with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. A native of Dallas, Kate moved to Charleston three weeks after her first visit, dropping her career of 8 years, and declaring it her creative muse. Kate pens messy, sexy, angst-filled contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy and erotic suspense because it’s what she loves as a reader. A lover of all things ’80s and ’90s, especially John Hughes films and rap, she dabbles a little in photography, can knit a simple stitch scarf for necessity only and does a horrible job of playing the ukulele. Aside from running a mile without collapsing, traveling is the only other must on her bucket list. On occasion, she does very well at vodka.
