The romance releases are a plenty right now, but I wanted to share a few new-to-me authors that I’ve recently come across with exciting starts to their new series. Whether you’re in the mood for sweet, fun, or steamy, I highly recommend adding these romances to your Summer reading list!

I really enjoyed Hot Asset by Lauren Layne and loved the Wall Street flair of the story!

Ian and Lara were both incredibly career-focused characters, but I especially liked how relatable and down-to-earth they were. Ian had such a charisma about him, and for all of his wealth, he wasn’t stuffy but very genuine. Lara was determined to stick to her guns and prove Ian guilty of insider trading, but she also had a heart and was still open-minded enough to be able to see and appreciate the truly good man underneath his title. Attraction definitely wasn’t an issue for Ian and Lara, and I loved how they challenged each other both personally and professionally. It was so fun to follow their feisty banter along the road to possibly finding their happily ever after!

This is my first read by Lauren Layne, and I’m excited to have found her writing! The story was very well written and fun, and I really enjoyed the intriguing storyline involving the SEC and Wall Street. It was a fast paced and engaging read, and where the story was more on the lighter side, it also had some complexity and suspense as well. The dual point of views made Ian and Lara’s characters even more charming. I also adored the supporting cast of characters with Ian’s friends who kept me laughing with the extents that they would go to show their loyalty and love!

I look forward to reading more of this 21 Wall Street Series, including Matt Cannon’s story which is coming next in Hard Sell on September 4^th, 2018!

R. Scarlett is another new-to-me author, and this prelude to her new American Gods Series was so good! Nathaniel and Juliette’s enemies-to-lovers romance was surprisingly sweet, and I really enjoyed the story surrounding Nathaniel’s secret society at Yale. Scarlett’s writing was fast paced and very suspenseful, keeping me glued to the pages throughout. Although the story was sexy and steamy, I also loved that the overall feeling was very romantic as well!

Filthy Gods is a novella, but Nathaniel and Juliette’s story felt perfectly complete. It’s also a great sneak peek into the mysterious ‘American Gods’, and their characters will each be featured in the rest of the series. Honestly, I can’t wait to learn more about these Yale boys, and Gabe’s story in Filthy Rich Boys Don’t Have Hearts is set to release late 2018!

~ Knotted (Trails of Sin #1) by Pam Godwin ~

Knotted is the first standalone in Pam Godwin’s new Trails of Sin Series, and I was absolutely blown away with her writing!

I loved Jake and Conor’s characters! They each had incredible strength, and my heart broke for them and what they had endured as childhood sweethearts and throughout the years. Jake and Conor had a sizzling chemistry between them, but they shared a tenderness, passion, and loyalty that would never break between them as well.

Their story was very emotional and a bit darker, dealing with heartbreaking issues of rape, but at the same time was also heartfelt with Jake and Conor’s journey of recovery and finding their second-chance. This is my first read by Godwin, and she did an amazing job with this storyline, and the added suspenseful twists made this a completely consuming read!

If you’re looking for a book to keep your heart racing, this is definitely one for you. Buckled is up next in the Trails of Sin Series and releases July 10th, and I can’t wait!
