Questions:

What is your all-time favorite romance novel?

It’s really too hard for me to choose just one, so I will tell you the series that really catapulted my love for all things romance in my ‘older’ years. I picked up the Big Stone Gap Series by Adriana Trigiani one day after a major reading hiatus when I had my kiddos. I absolutely consumed the entire series – pretty much in the car line waiting for them to get out of school and during their sports activities. The characters and story set in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia were so unique touched my heart in so many ways. I’m talking major crocodile tears here, but I loved every minute of it!

Is there a certain book that launched your love of reading? Which book?

In elementary school, I read ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ by Roald Dahl and ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ by Jules Verne. I was (and still am) a big dreamer and was hooked!

Have you ever read a book that has actually scared you?

I steer clear of scary books, since I am more of a romance junkie!

What is your favorite book-to-movie adaptation?

I feel kind of bad saying this, but I’ve yet to be impressed. I love the details that so many leave out!

List your dream cast for your favorite book.

Ok, I’m gonna say it… you’re making me have to think too hard! Lol!

What are some of your favorite YouTube channels (if you watch them.)

Honestly, I don’t watch any, but I would love any recommendations!

Name 3 items on your bucket list.

Travel, travel, and travel! I would love to go to New Zealand, London, and Pompeii in Italy. The last one probably seems weird, but it is inspired after several years of Latin classes.

What’s the most romantic thing that has ever happened to you?

I went to Mexico for the first time with my ‘Daisy Guy’ after only two months of dating. He could have been a serial killer for all I knew – young and crazy stupid. However it turned out that he wasn’t (thank God!), and it was such a dreamy trip!

Have you ever had a meetcute? What happened?

My husband’s best friend actually asked me out first. I told him I was really interested in his friend, and he ended up setting us up on our first date!

What is one of the best blogging tips you’ve ever heard or given?

This is one of my favorites! My blog is a slow grower, because I don’t share it with my family and friends. I’ve always struggled with the number of followers etc. – don’t we all at times? Anyway, someone was talking about imagining a room with your number of followers in it, and how full that room would actually be. This really gave me a whole new perspective because really, even 25 followers makes for a pretty full room! =D

Post a picture of your favorite bookish meme.

  1. Can I just say I love that you told your husband’s best friend what you really wanted? I can only imagine what would have happened if you had agreed to that date! Although, it might have made a good book!

    1. 💕 Thank you! It’s always funny when I reflect on everything – we’ve been together for 20 years now! My daughter read it and said ‘wait, why didn’t I know this’?? Well, life gets so busy and it’s so long ago that I sometimes forget the best snippets. SO sad! 😢

  2. Ha ha ha!! Your husband’s friend is a sweet guy to step back and set you up!! 😂😂 And I can’t say anything about the Mexico trip after 2 months. My man and I road tripped to Florida after… Maybe a month?? Those lonely roads are an easy place to drop off a body! 😂😂🍻

      1. HA HA HA!!! I’m pretty sure that’s the NATURE of parental advice!… The things that I did when I was younger that I would NEVER want my children to do! But, it’s like the warnings and directions on items “do not tie this bag over your head or eat it” …???? It all SEEMS like common sense… But, SOME idiot did it and created a warning! 😂😂
