aboutthebook

Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queen—the first Queen of Wessco.

It’s a big deal.

When she’s crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She’s charming, clever, confident and cunning.

What she isn’t…is married.

It’s her advising council’s first priority. It’s what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want.

Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man—particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.

Even Queens. Especially them.

**

Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke, walked away from his title and country. Now he’s an adventurer—climbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wants—until family devotion brings him home.

And a sacred promise keeps him there.

To Edward, the haughty, guarded little Queen is intriguing, infuriating…and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him mad—or become his greatest adventure.

**

Within the cold, stone walls of the royal palace—mistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarchy forever.

Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story.

This is theirs.

www.dgbookblog.com:RoyallyYours teaser1.jpgMyReviewThe Royally Series has completely captivated me from the very beginning with its fun, dreamy, and oh-so-romantic tales taking place in the small country of Wessco. This is the story of the queen, born into the demanding responsibility to rule her country and obligated to put it first and foremost, at all costs, and before her own happiness. But what if there was that one person to stand by your side and make it all worthwhile? Beautifully written with incredibly passionate, touching, and tender moments, Royally Yours is a fairytale romance that will melt your heart!

‘Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story. This is ours.’

My feelings for Queen Lenora were a bit unexpected in this story. While reading the other books in the series, I could only wonder what was under her sometimes seemingly heartless exterior. She consistently maintained her tough as nails role, and although there were tiny glimpses of softness when she dealt with her grandsons Nicholas and Harry, it wasn’t very often.

She’s like a sleek, small, silver gun – beautiful but lethal. It’s an intoxicating combination.’

I loved Lenora’s character and enjoyed getting to know her witty, fun, and feisty side in this story! I really felt for her with the constant attention, expectation, and scrutiny she faced by parliament and her people. Lenora couldn’t show any signs of emotional weakness, and I absolutely admired her ability to be so strong-minded.

‘Something about her intrigues me – this beautiful, guarded woman, who rides wild in the woods when she thinks no one is looking.’

Edward was quite the match for Lenora, and he truly stole both of our hearts! He understood and respected her role but also saw the spirited and loving woman underneath. Edward wasn’t one to back down to her, but he brought out her carefree side and made her feel alive.

‘Making a life with you will be my greatest adventure, Lenora.’

Surprisingly, his ‘Lenny’ was also quite the little vixen, and their romance was so passionate and beautiful that it even made me weepy at times. Lenora and Edward shared such a whole-hearted love, full of admiration, devotion, and a true bond like no other!

‘You will never be lost. I will be with you always. The vows were wrong. When death comes, he can have my body… but my soul will stay with you, I swear it.’

It was fun to see how some of the characters from the other stories like Fergus came to find their roles with the Royal Family. Chase did a wonderful job of submerging me into the intriguing cultures, traditions, and elegance of the royal lifestyle in this series. She made it all seem very real yet kept the characters and the story relatable at the same time. The dual point of views really showcased Lenora and Edward’s wit and vulnerability, and I loved the touching and heartfelt words of endearment they shared!

‘And it’s perfect. A moment of perfect, pure happiness. The kind you remember and look back on and cherish your whole life.’

Emma Chase just writes the best romances! She has such an eloquence to her writing style that totally wraps around my heartstrings and captures me in the feels every time. Royally Yours was an absolutely delightful read, and I highly recommend this series!

  1. Really, really great review! I adored this book. It took me by surprise. I wasn’t expecting to get this story. For some reason I thought it was one of the kids’ books. LOL
