 Blurb

Charlotte Lane was the tomboy who lived next door.

Eyes the color of the summer sky.

Mounds of curly blond hair.

A little bit of sassy and a whole lot of sweet.

She was my best friend. My confidant. My salvation.

But when circumstances tore us apart, it put more than just miles between us. I hated her. Blamed her for my worst nightmare. And I never wanted to see her again.

Then one wrong turn brought her back into my life and now she’s under my skin. In the midst of all the chaos surrounding us, she’s what’s changing me. Practically bringing me to my knees. Driving me to want to be a better man.

But nothing is ever easy.

And as our worlds begin to crumble…so do we.

Our bond withstood the test of time, but when the future brings the unexpected, it will either draw us closer or tear us apart.

Can we weather the storm?

TURN IT UP TEASER 8 -2

 DaisyGal’s Review:

‘Turn it Up’ is the conclusion to Jasper and Charlotte’s love story in Kim Karr’s Detroit Love Duet series. After reading the first book, ‘Set the Pace’, I was left literally sitting on the edge of my seat with that cliffhanger and such a myriad of questions and emotions! Both Jasper and Charlotte’s story of finding each other again was so touching – but would they be able to overcome their tragic pasts now that they had found each other again? Who is the mysterious killer and why? Can Jasper save himself, Charlotte, and the city of Detroit??? Thank goodness all of my questions were finally answered!

Karr certainly does not disappoint in the passion zone here!  I could definitely feel Jasper and Charlotte’s love and connection with each other. I also really enjoyed Jasper’s friends, Will, Jake, and Drew and their loyalty and support of both Jasper and Charlotte. I am very curious to know if there will be follow up books written about Jasper’s friends – I can definitely see there could be some other story opportunities with these guys!

Surprisingly, this finale did seem to be a bit more of a smoother ride for me than I normally experience in Karr’s books. I wasn’t quite as consumed in this one as usual, but maybe it was because it did seem to have a little bit of a slower pace to it in the beginning. I also thought that the resolution regarding Hank and Alex seemed to wrap up a little quickly for me – I would have liked a little more depth there. However, I continued to love the unique storyline and thought this was a perfectly sweet conclusion to Jasper and Charlotte’s story!

I absolutely enjoyed this series, and it is yet another by Kim Karr that I highly recommend!

*** 4 Stars for me!  ***
