Hidden Seams

By Alessandra Torre

A billion-dollar fashion empire, and it’s about to be mine…

I’ve worked a decade for this. I’ve sold my soul and my reputation. I’ve lived a lie, smiled for the cameras, and hated myself, all for this inheritance.

And then … she pops up. A mysterious heir with a rap sheet, combat boots, and a mouth that I want to pin shut with my—

It doesn’t matter. I’ve played this game for a decade. I can continue the charade a little longer, keep my hands to myself and her body out of my mind. I can keep my secret until the ink dries and everything is mine.

Or not.

www.dgbookblog.com/MyReviewAlessandra Torre stands high at the top of my list of favorite authors! I love the diversity in her writing, with everything from light hearted and sweet romances, to full throttle, angsty, suspenseful, and super sexy thrillers. I’m never really sure what direction her storylines will travel and what they’ll do to my emotions along the way, but I know that I will end up loving them every time. Hidden Seams is a mysterious and suspenseful read diving into the deceitful illusions and grandeur of the fashion industry, and in Torre’s trademark way, this sexy romance is topped with charming characters and is touchingly sweet with its tender moments!  Continue reading

Redeeming Lottie

by Melissa Ellen
Publication Date: February 1, 2018
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Things I never planned on happening in my life: Getting married, being a mother to a house full of kids, and returning to my small hometown of Billingsley, Texas.

I especially never planned on seeing Tucker Monroe again.
Sexy smile. Country charm.
A man and a life I left behind for a reason.

The only plan I had for myself was my career.

A buyer for one of the largest high end department stores was the only commitment I had time for. The only one I was willing to make.

Now, being left with no choice but to return to Billingsley, I’m finding it hard to remember why I left in the first place. Because all that’s on my mind is Tucker.

He is just as sexy. Just as charming.
Just as dangerous as he used to be…

Review ~ The Black Painting by Neil Olson

www.dgbookblog.com:the.black.painting.neil.olson.

Everything about The Black Painting was so intriguing, and I couldn’t wait to get into this mystery!

aboutthebook

An old-money East Coast family faces the suspicious death of its patriarch and the unsolved theft of a Goya painting rumored to be cursed…

There were four cousins in the Morse family: perfect Kenny, the preppy West Coast lawyer; James, the shy but brilliant medical student; his seductive, hard-drinking sister Audrey; and Teresa, youngest and most fragile, haunted by the fear that she has inherited the madness that possessed her father.

Their grandfather summons them to his mansion at Owl’s Point. None of them has visited the family estate since they were children, when a prized painting disappeared: a self-portrait by Goya, rumored to cause madness or death upon viewing. Afterward, the family split apart amid the accusations and suspicions that followed its theft.

Any hope that their grandfather planned to make amends evaporates when Teresa arrives to find the old man dead, his horrified gaze pinned upon the spot where the painting once hung. As the family gathers and suspicions mount, Teresa hopes to find the reasons behind her grandfather’s death and the painting’s loss. But to do so she must uncover ugly family secrets and confront those who would keep them hidden.

Twelve(ish?) Days ~ Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

www.dgbookblog.com:happy.2018

Did you know that the Twelve Days of Christmas officially start on Christmas Day and run until January 5th? Well, I did not and actually figured it out when I was going to do an epic wrap up of 2017 starting the twelve days before Christmas. You see, I have quite a few things that I wanted to share and cross off my ‘to-do’ list. It’s quite embarrassing really, but I have numerous lingering book reviews, tags, and random thoughts that have been staring at me from that damn ‘draft’ folder, just begging for some love and attention.

I wasn’t 100% sure if the ‘twelve days’ included Christmas Day or not, looked it up, and to my pleasant surprise, the Twelve Days of Christmas actually start on Christmas Day! However, I did not… Ha! Even the best laid plans go awry, BUT LOOK, I’ve still made my date to at least get one post in (with the Christmas photos that I took) and celebrate the new year!

… And speaking of resolutions, can anyone say quit overanalyzing everything and follow through? Yes, I’m working on it!

Review ~ Loving the White Liar by Kate Stewart!

www.dgbookblog.com:loving.the.white.liar.kate.stewart

aboutthebookI met my true love when I was twenty-seven. He was handsome, charming, witty, and irresistible. Jayden Monroe came along when I was struggling with indecision and made things simple, turned monochrome into vivid color, and forever altered my perspective on life.

I was not naive enough to believe in happily ever after, but with Jayden, it seemed possible . . . until I realized something wasn’t quite right.

You see, I met a man who would be anyone I needed him to be, and after I found out that fact, I knew it would be impossible to walk away. His disorder, however, would change everything I ever thought about love and what it truly meant to accept someone for who they are.

This is not my sob story; this is his success story.
