Simply put, this new adult coloring book by Christina Collie is a gorgeous work of art, a fantastic concept, and everyone needs to have one in their hands!
If you are a book lover, this is a great introduction to some really terrific authors and their novels. It is also a very creative way to remember some of your favorite stories and quotes as well. Collie has included such a great selection of authors and books in her designs- some of my all time favorites such as Mia Sheridan, Emma Chase, and Karina Halle!
This is a completely new idea for me with coloring books for adults, and I think it’s a really great one! I have heard many people suggest coloring to be a very relaxing type of hobby and to actually help relieve stress as well. I must admit, it really worked for me! I even found myself reflecting on my youth a bit, as I worked through the very intricate and unique designs within the pages. There is something about the smell of crayons that definitely have a way to bring me back to time when life was much simpler. This also allows you the ability to express yourself in any way you chose and be left with the success of a beautiful colored drawing. It was so nice to take a little ‘me’ time, and quite honestly, I think I enjoyed it so much I could do it for hours!
I think that Collie has really outdone herself with this lovely collaboration. My only suggestion might for the pages to be perforated so they can easily be taken out for display. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a little ‘de-stressing’, relaxation, or ‘me’ time in their day. For those that are book lovers, it is a great treat for yourself or would also make an excellent gift as well!

Christina Collie is a twenty-eight-year-old Tennessee native who began doodling images inspired by her favorite books almost four years ago before launching Doodles by Christina. Since then she has doodled over 50 images and has sold prints around the globe. Outside of being a huge bookworm, she enjoys watching LSU football, playing with her dog Nola, and hanging out on her best friend’s farm. This is her first coloring book.
