Jackson’s writing was simply beautiful and played such a symphony with my emotions, as Kale and Hope’s passionate romance both brought tears to my eyes and filled my heart with joy!
Kale and Hope were the epitome of selflessness, sacrifice, and strength.

Kale lived his life solely focused on the care of his patients and making everyone’s lives around him better, never allowing himself to miss a beat. Hope spent her every day in gratitude for her son, Evan, and ensuring his happiness took priority in everything that she did. Neither dwelled on their scars that life had marked them with, and both only focused on what they could do to make every day better for others. The goodness in Kale and Hope’s hearts and the lengths that they would go to in order to protect those they loved was incredible, especially when it came to Evan.

Hope’s belief in Evan and her ferocity to protect him at any cost showed the true power and strength of a mother’s love. Kale’s unconditional love, affection, and sheer determination to save Evan was equally as touching. Both Kale and Hope appreciated Evan’s joyful spirit, and the true gift that he was, and their love for him was completely awe-inspiring!

Kale, with his irresistible and sexy charm, and Hope, beautiful both inside and out, deserved to find happiness and love. Their connection was so strong, and their passion was like an uncontrollable wildfire raging between them. Yet, their understanding of each other’s needs and doing the right thing for Evan took precedence over their desires. Their lives were very complicated as it was, and so much would be at risk if they opened up their hearts to the idea of having a true love for themselves. I didn’t just want them to take that leap, I needed them to! Captain America, Shortcake, and the sweet little Hulk truly deserved to be surrounded by a wealth of all-encompassing kind of love!

A.L. Jackson captivates me with her poetic writing of broken heroes and heroines and their angsty, romantic, and beautiful stories. Follow Me Back was a bit unique in how Kale and Hope’s story completely radiated with light throughout. It was complex, angsty, and had some very tearful moments, but the overall feeling of the story was happy. It was very uplifting to see so many things done out of love for others. I felt such a connection to these wonderful characters, as I waged war alongside them, rooting for their happiness and what was truly right!
This is definitely a new A.L. Jackson favorite for me, ranking up there with Lyrik and Tamar’s heart-wrenching story in Where Lightning Strikes from her Bleeding Hearts Series. They really couldn’t be more different, but they each touched my heart in equally amazing ways!
I adore this small and growing family of friends in this Fight for Me Series! Their personalities, loyalty, and love for each other is more than anyone could ask for and incredibly heartwarming. I highly recommend this read, and I am really looking forward to Ollie’s story next in Lead Me Home!

“Kale.” It was a murmur.
