‘Crush’ by Kim Karr was just an absolutely great read – such a roller coaster of a ride! I have anxiously awaited this follow up to the cliffhanger in ‘Blow,’ the first book of her Tainted Love Duet series, and it certainly does not disappoint. It was super sexy, sizzling, intriguing, and proved to be a perfect conclusion to this suspenseful series.  I mean WOW – I simply could not put this one down!

Let me start by asking which is sexier, Karr’s covers on her books or her amazing stories within? My answer is both! My goodness – who is this looker on the covers of these books in this series?? He is definitely what I would imagine the mysterious Logan McPherson (originally introduced in Karr’s standalone ‘Toxic’) to look like!

Ok, back to the story….
Left with many questions in the world of mobsters, seedy lawyers, and drugs in ‘Blow’… ‘Crush’ is hopefully the book with the answers. What will Logan and Elle do about the dangerous mobster Tommy? Is Michael a good guy or a bad guy? Will they find Elizabeth, why did she disappear in the first place, and what was her connection with the drugs? Also, what extent will Elle and Logan have to go to protect each other and their families, and will they be able to succeed in their relationship together?  Well, you’ll just have to read it to find out! There are so many twists and turns along the way, and it will keep you guessing the entire time.  Believe me here – you really will not truly know how this story wraps until the very end!

‘Crush’ was a fast-paced romantic read, and Elle and Logan’s passion for each other is incredible!

They were both so tough and strong on the outside and still so sweet and caring on the inside. I loved their loyalty and devotion to each other and their families- especially that sweet little Clementine!

‘Toxic’ was my first glimpse at Kim Karr’s writing, which of course led me to the ‘The 27 Club’, Connections series, and now The Tainted Love Duet series. Her alternating point of views give great insight into her complex character depth and storylines, and both her series and standalones are so engulfing they will leave you on the edge of your seat!
