Genre: Contemporary Romance

DukeofManhattan.Ebook

I was born into British aristocracy, but I’ve made my fortune in Manhattan. New York is now my kingdom.

Back in Britain my family are fighting over who’s the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it’s me–if I’m married. It’s not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.

Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I’ve never wanted — so I need a wife.

To take my mind off business I need a night that’s all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.

The skim of Scarlett King’s hair over my body as she bends over . . .

The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name . . .

The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge . . .

It all helps me forget.

I just didn’t bargain on finding my one night stand across the boardroom table the next day.

She might be my latest conquest but I have a feeling Scarlett King might just conquer me.

A sexy, standalone romance.

DaisyGal’s Review:

Louse Bay’s Duke of Manhattan is a story of determination, taking risks, and finding success, and this charming and sexy romance also reminds you that fairytales and happily ever after’s do exist and sometimes you can find love even when you least expect it!

Ryder Westbury is a powerful and wealthy man who is on a mission. He has worked his whole life growing his successful investment company, Westbury Group, into an empire. When he is told that it is possible that he could lose everything he’s built if he doesn’t get married and become the Duke of Fairfax, he decides he needs to find a wife, and now.

Scarlett King is a woman on a mission as well. Determined to overcome her heartache from her failed marriage and exhausted by the dating scene, she has put her heart and soul into Cecily Fragrance, her start up business she built with her friend, Cecily. However, their business loans are now due, and they have to come to agreement with a new investor and get the money to cover the loans before it’s too late.

Trying to escape their worries, Ryder and Scarlett share a spontaneous night of scorching hot passion and pleasure, but Scarlett soon realizes that their one night together can jeopardize everything that she has worked so hard for. It could also mean saving them both, but when business is mixed with pleasure things can get really blurry, and what happens when you realize what you really want is the only thing you can’t have?

There is just so much heart to Ryder and Scarlett’s story, and Bay’s descriptions and intricate details, along with her wit and humor, are perfectly placed within. Ryder and Scarlett had such depth to their characters, and they were so fun, genuine, and honest with each other. I really respected that both Scarlett and Ryder were independent, self-starters in their businesses, and I admired their drive and desire for success. The dual point of view was perfect to better understand their personal feelings and challenges they faced with their ‘business arrangement’ and really enhanced their passionate connection they shared. I loved that Scarlett had the power over Ryder to reduce him from his suits and into sweatpants watching The Young and the Restless, and I absolutely adored Ryder’s perseverance with Scarlett and sweeping her off of her feet.  I could totally relate their charming and passionate relationship, and they just fit together so naturally, like pieces of a puzzle.

Louise Bay has such an amazing talent in writing incredibly heartfelt romances! She creates such hopeful and passionate tales for her heroes and heroines which remind me of the vulnerability that exists in love, and her stories are just intoxicating in how they can take me away for hours on end. I always enjoy books that involve travel, and being that Ryder’s estate was in England, only made this even more of a dreamy read for me!

Although all of the books can be read as standalones, these characters are also connected with her other books, King of Wall Street and Park Avenue Prince. All unique in their own way, I really enjoy the family feel of these stories, and I have come to love their close-knit characters. They are funny and relatable, they are imperfect yet genuine and loving, and supportive of each other just like a family. I highly recommend reading each of the fantastic books, but I will have to say that Duke of Manhattan is my new favorite!

About the Author:

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
