From the USA TODAY bestselling author of On the Corner of Love and Hate comes a romantic comedy about a woman who grudgingly returns home to small-town Pennsylvania, only to find herself falling in love—not only with the town, but with two of its citizens.

Charlotte Bishop is out of options in New York City. Fired, broke, and blacklisted by her former boss, she’s forced to return to her hometown of Hope Lake, PA to lick her wounds. Although she’s expecting to find a miserable place with nothing to do, she is pleasantly surprised to discover it is bustling and thriving.

She’s only supposed to be in Hope Lake temporarily until she can earn enough money to move back to New York. She’s not supposed to reconnect with her childhood friends or her beloved grandmother. She’s not supposed to find her dream job running the local florist shop. And she’s definitely not supposed to fall for not one but two of Hope Lake’s golden boys: one the beloved high school English teacher, the other the charming town doctor.

With a heart torn between two men and two cities, what’s a girl to do?

A perfect blend of humor and heart, Meet Me on Love Lane is the second in a new series from USA TODAY bestselling author Nina Bocci that is sure to charm fans of Josie Silver and Sally Thorne.www.dgbookblog.com:scrollMyReview

Meet Me on Love Lane, the second standalone in Nina Bocci’s Hopeless Romantics Series, was such a sweet second chance, small-town romance!

Henry and Charlotte’s characters really captured my heart! I couldn’t help but feel for Charlotte and her difficult relationship with her mother, as well as her isolated childhood from the rest of her family. And oh-poor-Henry, with his simple nature and broken heart, made for the type of hero you couldn’t help but want to mend. Charlotte’s grandmother Gigi was also an absolute hoot, but really of the secondary characters were such fun and made for a delightful addition to the story!

Bocci really does focus on the slowest of burns in her romances, however, I’m not sure that Charlotte’s memory loss and the amount of time it took for her and Henry to have a present-day conversation really added to their story. Although they shared a strong childhood friendship, it kind of took away from their connection for me, and I think adding dual points of view might have also helped to enhance the romantic feelings in Charlotte and Henry’s relationship as well.

After really enjoying Bocci’s writing debut with the first standalone in the series, On the Corner of Love and Hate, it’s clear to see that she does a fantastic job with her plot depth. It might seem a tad too detailed at times making the pace feel a little slow, but I really enjoyed the descriptions which gave such life to the story. I loved the charming and quaint scenic setting in Hope Lake with its small businesses and people running about, which really wrapped me up into the story and made it a place that I would love to visit!

I have to mention that the covers for this series are simply gorgeous, and overall this was a really sweet and enjoyable read! I’m definitely looking forward to Parker and Nick’s story in The Ingredients of You and Me releasing April 28, 2020!
