🌿 What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this week? * 🌿 Happy Friday book lovers! I’m in Arkansas this weekend visiting the daughter for parents weekend, so that’s definitely my best thing! Not to mention that it’s 71 degrees here and rainy, which is an awesome reprieve from the heat back home! * 🌿 We’re also staying in is this super neat old house in the mountains too. The architect designed and built it in the 60’s with wraparound floor to ceiling windows and every detail is in rectangles… I’m thinking its supposed to be zen maybe??? Well it is totally working! * 🌿 THE BEST THING by @marianazapata is coming up next in my reads! It’s another of my book club’s picks for this month, so I’m really excited about this one too. THE WALL OF WINNEPEG AND ME was my first read by her, so it has a special place in my heart, but I’ve yet to read one of her romances that I didn’t just love! * 🤔 I know its hard to choose, but tell me your favorite book by Mariana Zapata! 🤔 Have you ever had an audiobook make you cry? Which one comes to mind? * 🌺 Howdy, howdy, I hope your week is going well! Since I’ve been lost in audiobook hell for about a quarter of this year, I am super excited to find some really fantastic ones lately! * 🌺 A current favorite is the SURRENDER and DOMINATE duet by @amydawsauthor. These are the fourth and fifth books in her Harris Brothers Series and feature the eldest brother in the Harris clan, Gareth. I cannot say enough about how I adored this sports romance! * 🌺 There was so much depth and vulnerability to Gareth and Sloan’s characters and both had such heart behind their masks. Their journey was not easy at all, but boy, was it breathtaking and completely made me feel across the full spectrum of emotions! * 🌺 Just the same, the narration in duet style was simply fantastic. It really gave the story life, and they conveyed so much feeling and passion in their voices that gave me goosebumps and even tears, which has never happened for me in an audiobook before! * 🎧 I absolutely loved this romance and highly recommend the audiobook format. Listening to them was a total highlight in my day, and I really didn’t want this duet to end! * 📚 If you are looking for a sports romance… * ✓ With a broody British footballer. ✓ With a warm and loving family feel. ✓ With a touch of angst but so happy and heartfelt. ✓ That is smoking hot, and so very freaking sweet. ✓ That is a beautifully written story. * 📚 Then you will love this! * 🤷‍♀️Have you ever listened to an audiobook in duet style?? 🌼 Do you like attending sporting events? What are your favorite types to go to? * 🌼 It’s finally Friday, my friends, and I couldn’t be happier! Work has really been kicking my booty lately, so I’m hoping for a little unwinding time. We also have our first high school football game at home tonight and those are always fun. The crowds are always so enthusiastic with the band and the cheerleaders and of course, when our team wins lol! * 🌼 One of my book club’s selections this month is THE DEAL by @ellekennedy33, and I’m really excited to start the Off-Campus Series. 🐫 Happy Hump Day book friends! Do you enjoy working on puzzles? I loved doing them when I was young but rarely take the time to do them anymore. When I happened upon this one, I couldn’t resist! * 🥑 So holy guacamole can @authorljshen bring on the angst or what??? Seriously, she’s the bomb! * 📚 I’m currently both listening and reading BROKEN KNIGHT (All Saints High #2) right now. I absolutely loved the audiobook for Daria and Penn’s story in PRETTY RECKLESS (All Saints HIgh #1), so I wanted to hear the audible for this as well. The narrators are fantastic, but what I didn’t expect was to be so consumed by Knight and Luna’s story. When I saw the ebook was in Kindle Unlimited, I grabbed it right up since I can’t really walk around with earbuds all the time and while the fam’s around... Or can I? LOL! * 💔 Knight and Luna’s journey is so emotional and quite heartbreaking. I have all the feels for them and such a knot in my stomach with hope for them to see the light and find their way back to each other and soon! * 🤔 Tell me, have you started this All Saints High Series yet? 🌿 Is it feeling like fall yet in your neck of the woods? * 🌿 Happy Thursday! I tell you what, it’s still hotter than Hades here in Texas! We have been in the upper 90’s with heat indexes in the 100’s, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to let up anytime soon. 🏖 Howdy, howdy, how’s your week going, book friends? Tell me a book that everyone raves about but you have totally put off reading! * 🏖 I have heard about the awesome of ON THE ISLAND by @traceygarvisgraves for so long now but kept putting it off. I know, I know, I’m of the rare few that hadn’t read this romance, but for some reason, I just didn’t get on that island! * 🏖 I loved HEART-SHAPED HACK, WHITE-HOT HACK, and THE GIRL HE USED TO KNOW and even got to meet the lovely Tracey Garvis Graves at Book Bonanza a few weeks ago where I embarrassingly got to share my ridiculous procrastination with this read! 🤦‍♀️ * 🏖 Well, guess what? I FINALLY read ON THE ISLAND and of course, loved it! There were so many highs and lows in Anna and T.J.’s beautiful journey that just pulled at my heartstrings, and the descriptive setting really made me feel as if I was alongside them throughout.
