Title: Suit
Series: 44 Chapters
Author: BB Easton
Release: October 18
Because BB Easton had so much fun writing her bestselling, award-winning memoir, 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, she decided to give each of her four men his own steamy standalone. SUIT is Ken’s book—the hilarious, heartwarming tale of how BB finally got over her bad boy phase and found happily ever after with…gasp…a guy in a tie.
“Since when are you into guys in ties? You only like guys who look like they rob guys in ties. At gunpoint.”
It was true. By 2003, my type had been well-established. There might as well have been a giant sign on my heart that said, “Good Guys Need Not Apply.”
Which is exactly why I had to friendzone Ken Easton. The man was a former football star, smelled like fresh laundry instead of stale cigarettes, and had more ties in his closet than tattoos on his knuckles. Pssh. BOR-ING.
But the more I got to know my hunky study buddy, the more questions I came away with. Questions like, why doesn’t he date? Why does he avoid human touch? Why does he hate all things fun and wonderful? The psychology student in me became obsessed with getting inside Ken’s head, while the spoiled brat in me became obsessed with getting inside his heart.
In 2003, I found the one thing I love more than bad boys…
A good challenge.
*SUIT is Book 4 in the 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN spin-off series, but it can be read as a complete standalone.*

Suit was the perfect ending to this roller coaster ride of a series! I couldn’t wait to see if BB could finally grow up and get her happily-ever-after, and I was definitely curious to know how she could possibly find it with ‘motherf*cking Ken’ (yes, she actually calls him that)! In my heart I am so glad she finally did, but I’m also a little sad for her journey to be complete. B.B. Easton’s dry wit combined with her edgy, honest, and real writing style, has evoked so much emotion from me every step of the way and is one of the many reasons that I would rank this as one of my favorite series!
I loved finally seeing young BB’s character mature, and Ken was the perfect Prince Charming once she could overlook his ‘tight ass’ and ’emotionless’ ways. Although they didn’t have too much in common, they did share a love for music, which I feel can bond any relationship. I could see Ken’s appeal and everything he had to offer to BB, and I was definitely impressed with his love for spatulas!
I know I’ve said it before, but Easton is such a fantastic storyteller! Whether I went through what BB did or not (I did not), I could still relate to all of it. My personal experiences in my youth were nothing like BB’s, more like the polar opposite, but her descriptive writing in her novels brings me into the settings and time periods making the stories very relatable. With everything from the music with ‘Mark McKen’ and his favorite band Sublime, to the ‘particleboard nightmares’ from Kmart in our parent’s homes, Easton’s witty writing is just funnier than all get out and so full of life!
I have loved this series from the get-go when I first picked up 44 Chapters About 4 Men. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I had definitely not laughed at a book like I did that one in a very long time. The subsequent stories feature each of the four men and their unique relationships with young BB as she struggles to find her identity and where she fits into the crazy world as she knows it.
Often hilarious and definitely heartbreaking at times, this series is one about growing up. The highs of happiness, the lows of self-doubt and regret, trying to see the small successes through all the failures, and seeking true love. But above all, it’s about discovering how important it is to really love yourself.
The stories are told from BB’s perspective, in a memoir style (mostly through flashbacks in the first book), and with a mix of fiction and non-fiction. The romances are unconventional as you might think normal romances to be, and you also might have to be rather open-minded when picking this series up!
Suit was such a light, fun, and surprisingly romantic story! You could read this as a stand-alone, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how you could miss out on any moment on this freaking emotional roller coaster ride of a series. I definitely look forward to seeing where B.B. Easton’s writing will take me next!

BB Easton lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia with her long-suffering husband, Ken, and two adorable children. She recently quit her job as a school psychologist to write stories about her punk rock past and deviant sexual history full-time. Ken is suuuper excited about it.

Fascinating review, DG! Is this a true story?
It kind of is 😀
Thanks Jonetta, and ‘fascinating’ is really a great word to describe her books. I love the psychology about the characters – they are all so messed up but somehow understandable if that makes sense. Some of it is real, but I have no idea what is and what’s not. I would LOVE to know! I did meet her and her husband Ken at a book signing… they’re really nice! She’s so cute and has this pink hair and then Ken looks all conservative in khakis and a collared shirt. He’s very supportive of her.
Thanks! That’s what I needed to know.
She is so sweet, isn’t she? 😍 and they make such a beautiful couple.
YAY! I bought this! I really need to try and make time for this series! ❤
It’s a crazy one Astrid – so different! I hope you enjoy it too – some of it is pretty effed up. I boo-hood through Knight’s story… he was terrible and so sweet at the same time! Maybe I’m warped – lol! 😳
