Wow, what a fantastic year it has been for romance reading, and here are my top ten favorites of 2018!
Some were chosen because they were so completely unique, some touched me profoundly, some took me on super dreamy adventures, and two were previously released to 2018 (including my first m/m romance) that I should have picked up years ago. Regardless, these all completely stole my heart!

Prince Charming was simply put, a fantastic read! That being said, this romance was far from being simple at all. The complex hacker storyline was gripping, full of heart pounding angst and passion, and I was completely captivated from the get-go!

I have heard so much about Midnight Blue that I went in completely filled with anticipation, and boy, it did not disappoint. The passion between Alex and Indie was so intense! Perfectly paced and flawlessly written, it was very suspenseful, keeping me glued to the pages. Being unfamiliar with Shen’s way of writing, I really had no idea where the story would take me, but Midnight Blue totally wrapped me up in all the feels, and I absolutely loved it!
~ Look The Part by Jewel E. Ann ~
Release Date ~ January 29, 2018
Jewel E. Ann is a new author to me, and I’ve been curious to read Look the Part after hearing all the great hub-bub about it. The good news? I totally loved it! The bad news? Well, I have absolutely none at all. Flint and Ellen’s beautiful and heartfelt journey was utterly consuming making this such a fantastic surprise! Ann’s writing of this complex plot was amazing and combined with the charming characters made for such a beautiful story that seriously made my heart all melty inside. This powerful, inspiring, and touching story completely blew me away!

This is my favorite kind of romance! Fun, oh-so-passionate, and incredibly romantic, Wanderlust just had it all! Lauren Blakely captured every single one of my emotions in this intoxicating and dreamy journey of following your heart and finding yourself along with your true love, and there is no better place for this to happen than in the ‘City of Love’ itself!

~ Heartbreak Warfare by Heather M. Orgeron & Kate Stewart ~
Release Date ~ November 1, 2018
Heartbreak Warfare by Heather M. Orgeron and Kate Stewart wrecked me in a really amazing way. I don’t usually read military type romances, because I’m a bit of a baby and tend to shy from books that I know might make me sad. Although I hadn’t read works by Heather M. Orgeron, I always love Kate Stewart’s writing, and their collaboration in this poignant romance was phenomenal and one that will stay with me for a really long time. It left me with a happy heart, and best of all, Heartbreak Warfare offers an awareness to the many different casualties of war. I highly recommend this read to EVERYONE!
~ The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata ~
Release Date ~ February 28, 2016
I have some crazy mad love for The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, and my goodness, I can’t believe I waited so long to read Mariana Zapata’s writing! The Wall of Winnipeg and Me was kind of like a ‘Prince Charming’ story to me, and I loved the surprise and beauty of it. The writing was perfectly paced, and I can’t recall wanting a book NOT to end as much as this one. I actually read it, and then went back and read it backwards, just to make sure I had every detail sorted in my heart. It was just THAT good – easily an all-time favorite!
~ Him by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy ~
Release Date ~ July 28, 2015
Everyone has told me that Him is a ‘must read’, but unfortunately, it’s been on my TBR for what seemed like a lifetime. This was my first male/male romance, and all I can say is that these lovely ladies did an incredible job writing this heartfelt story! Their wit and humor kept it a light and fun read, but at the same time they balanced it with such emotion. This had everything I enjoy in a great sports romance, and Wes and Jamie’s story completely stole my heart!

You had an AMAZING year with just these books. I see many of my favorites: Him, The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, Royally Yours, The Accidentals, Wanderlust, Midnight Blue… all so good!
YES, It was such a great year really and so hard to narrow my list down! I wasn’t really sure what the ‘rule’ was on having books on my list that were released in previous years, but TWOWAM and Him were such a hit for me!
I loved Look the Part, heartbreak Warfare and The Wall Daisy!!
You have a fantastic selection! Look the Part and Heartbreak Warfare are two of my 2018 faves, but they are all very good. 🙂
Thank you dear! Yes, it was SO hard to choose from all the great ones out there. LTP and HW were just awesome though – glad you liked them too! 😁
Awesome list. How could you reduce it to only 10 though? >.< It was hard for me to get it down to under 20 :O
Woman, it was SO hard to choose! I debated on whether or not to make it longer and who to put in there and then just thought to hell with it! These are the ones I knew HAD to be on it. 😅
