Review Blitz – 5 Royal Stars for ‘Royally Matched’ by Emma Chase!

www-dgbookblog-comroyallymatched-emmachase-promopic

Royally-Matched-3D-bookSome men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry Charles Albert Edgar Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to force her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora goes on a much-needed safari holiday—and when the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit…and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

DaisyGal’s Review:

‘Royally Matched’ is a light-hearted and fun read that takes place in the dreamy lifestyle of royalty and elegance. Topped off with a lusty Prince, charming characters, and a reality T.V. show… seriously, who could ask for more? However, Emma Chase has outdone herself in this enchanting tale of two people finding themselves and at the same time finding a very true love. With incredibly sweet and passionate moments, this beautifully written romance has truly captured my heart!

The super sexy, fun-loving, and borderline ‘scandaliscious’ Henry Charles Albert Edgar Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, has never had to face the consequences in living his playboy lifestyle. He has always lived in the shadow of his older brother, Prince Nicholas, where he was quite content hiding behind booze and women. It never mattered if he was a disappointment or not, because no one ever really had any expectations of him. That is until Nicholas renounced his role as future King of Wessco, and Henry has some pretty big shoes to fill as the new predecessor to the throne. Now full of doubt in himself and his ability to lead his country, he is lost but unexpectedly meets the one person who accepts him for who he is, helps him to see that he has so much more to offer, and gives him the courage to be the next King.

‘The tale of an unruly prince who found the queen of his heart, and learned how to be a King.’

Review of ‘Frenched (Frenched #1)’ by Melanie Harlow!

www-dgbookblog-comfrenchedmelanieharlowinstapic

Goodreads Synopsis:

When I got dumped by my stupid fiancé a week before the wedding, my plans involved nothing more than ice cream, a blanket fort, and a bonfire of his possessions.

But my friends convinced me that bitter tastes better drowned in Bordeaux, so I came to Paris for a single-moon.

Then I met him. He’s shown me things I’ve never seen before, and I’m not talking about the Louvre.

Is it just the seduction of Paris? Or could this be the real thing?

My Review:

This is my first read by Melanie Harlow and the first book in her Frenched Series. Harlow’s descriptive writing in the settings and tours of the landmarks in Paris really took me away, and the refreshing storyline was light hearted, exciting, and had a great pace to it. Lately, I have been rather caught up in quite a few really ‘deep’ books, and this definitely lifted my spirits, provided me with a much-needed break, and was a perfect getaway read!

No more one night stands leading to mornings he can’t remember; no more binges and blackouts; no more exploits plastered all over the tabloids and rag sheets. According to Bryan, he’s cleaning up his act.

The only problem is, no one believes him.

💕 Fall in Love with the Book Beau- Valentine’s Day GiveAway & Review! 💕

www-dgbookblog-bookbeau-review-4

I am absolutely in love with the Book Beau, ‘Your book’s one true paring,’ sitting right at the top of my ‘Must-Have’ accessories for books!

The Book Beau is the original book sleeve, created and designed by Benita Botello. Each is hand crafted with great attention to detail and a lot of love. Botello’s inspiration behind the Book Beau stems from her own passion of reading and determination to create a cover for her books that would be very durable to withstand a lot of wear and tear and still keep her books in prime condition. She has definitely succeeded in her mission to make the Book Beau stand out above other book sleeves in their durability, but these lovely accessories are also unique in their beautiful styles as well. Botello uses a wide assortment of different designs, colors, and book themes (like Harry Potter, Beauty  and the Beast etc.) in her fabric selections which are right on trend and appeal to all book lovers alike. They come in four different sizes to fit every style of book, ranging from the smaller published books and up to the larger hardback books, and they retail from $15-$25 based on the size.

I was so excited when I first snagged the beautiful red and black plaid designed Book Beau, as I had been dyeing to get my hands on one of these beauties! They have become so popular that Botello is working overtime to keep up with their demand and usually sells out on her online store in minutes. So, I was super relieved when I got mine in hand. I have to admit though, that I soon realized that one is simply not enough and I needed one for all of my books. They are totally addictive and make the perfect gift as well!

To celebrate the upcoming holiday, I have this special XO’s Book Beau (shown below) to gift to one lucky winner!  I know you will love it like I do, and I am so excited to share this fantastic book accessory with you!

DaisyGal’s Review:

My brother gave me this book for Christmas. Maybe it was the fantastic title that got his attention, or perhaps he thought I could use a little pep talk. I’ll be the first to admit that I do sometimes feel a little low and doubt my own level of ‘badassness,’ so I tried to go into this read with an open mind. To be honest, I don’t usually enjoy self-help books. Although initially intriguing, they tend to be monotonous and boring a lot of the time, and my attention usually wavers early on. It always seems to be a lot of stuff that I know I should be doing, and whether I actually follow through or not is a whole different story. I know it take conscientious work and effort to make changes in your life, and sometimes I lack in the follow through which actually results in feeling even worse about myself than I did when I started. However, I thought this was a very thoughtful gift that might at least provide a little inspiration for me, and I’m so glad that I gave this terrific read a chance!

5 Star Review for ‘Skin (A 44 Chapters Novel #1)’ by B.B. Easton!

www-dgbookblog-comskinbbeaston

‘Skin’ is the follow up to the hilarious personal memoir, ‘44 Chapters About 4 Men: A Memoir’ and is the story of BB’s journey with Knight, her first love. Although I couldn’t wait to read Easton’s next novel, I’ll admit that I wasn’t really sure that I wanted to know more about Knight. He seemed so weird to me, and I couldn’t see what the angry skin head or ‘Skeletor’ could offer.  However, I have to say that I just loved this unique story that touches on…well everything really. It is edgy, gritty, angry, raw, and kinky as hell. At the same time, it is sweet, romantic, and beautiful. Definitely darker and deeper than the previous one, it was still told in Easton’s very unique writing style with her natural, witty, and ‘from the hip’ humor. The Cover is Here for ‘Sin with Me’ (Bad Habit #3) by J.T. Geissinger!

Don’t you love the cover?  I am SO excited for ‘Sin with Me,’ book three in J.T. Geissinger’s Bad Habit Series releasing April 25th!

I just love this rock star series! The previous book, ‘Make Me Sin,’ was a Top 2016 Read for me, and it had me on pins and needles throughout and totally touched my heart. I am so looking forward to this next book in this series not only to see if there will be a HEA for Chloe and A.J. but also what lies ahead for Grace and Brody!

I hired her to fix my company, to bring Marks Lingerie back to life. I didn’t expect her to become my friend. I didn’t expect to fall in love with her…

The first rule of business is to never touch your employees. I think there is another rule about not falling for your best friend—a rule against imagining the curves of her body, or the way her breathing would change if I pulled down her panties and unzipped my pants. Now, I can’t wait any longer. I’m tossing out the rules.

Damn the company.

Damn our friendship.

Damn my fears.

DaisyGal’s Review:

I guess I thought this was going to be more of a dark read, so I was pleasantly surprised that although it was definitely angsty it was also more light hearted. There was a lot of humor in the story and the characters were really charming. It was also full of feeling, passion, and longing that totally kept me full of anticipation from beginning to end.  It was super-hot and steamy, and I totally consumed it in only a few days!

5 Stars for ‘Hopeful’ by Louise Bay!

www-dgbookblog-comhopefullouisebaycover

Goodreads Synopsis:

I’ve spent the last eight years working hard to put my career front and center in my life, dodging any personal complications. I have a strict no-dating policy. I’ve managed to piece together a reality that works for me.

Eight years ago, Joel Wentworth, the love of my life, left for New York. I’d refused to go with him and I haven’t seen him again. Never even spoken to him.

Until now.

Now, Joel’s coming back to London.

And I need to get over him before he gets over here.

DaisyGal’s Review:

(Contains some spoilers)

What a beautifully touching romance of true love and second chances!

‘Hopeful’ had me pulled in right from the very start. Ava Elliot could never imagine that anyone like Joel Wentworth could be interested in her. He was charming and confident and women flocked to him unabashedly. Ava was quiet and insecure and would rather be the wallflower in her group of friends than have anyone scrutinize or judge her. Joel was very intrigued by Ava’s simple beauty and pursued her relentlessly which resulted in them falling head over heels into a natural and effortless love. However, Ava was always afraid of letting anyone down, and instead of fighting for Joel, she lost him when he went to America. She made futile attempts to try and move on, but always knew and regretted her mistake. Then Joel came back… Continue reading
