It seems like I’ve been flying through the new-to-me authors lately looking for some new and unique romances to enjoy. My October Short & Sweets feature reads more on the dark, angsty, and suspenseful side, and while some were bigger hits than others for me, they might be just what you’re looking for!
Dark Romance
Review ~ The Fallen: Genesis & Raphael by Tillie Cole!
What a start to Tillie Cole’s Deadly Virtues Series! If you’re looking for dark, intense, and all-consuming reads, then here’s a few for you!
Series Review ~ The Elite Kings’ Club Box Set by Amo Jones!
Amo Jones completely consumed me in the first three books of The Elite Kings’ Club Series with Bishop and Madison’s mysterious, twisted, and oh-so-steamy romance!
New Release Review ~ Cruel Sanctuary (The Wages of Sin #1) by Tara Leigh!
With hackers, politics, the cartel, and enough steam to melt your Kindle, all I can say is that Cruel Sanctuary is a fantastic start to The Wages of Sin Duet!
Review ~ My Torin by K Webster!
My Torin by K Webster was such an emotional read for me, and I was absolutely consumed in this mysterious, heartwarming, and inspiring story!
Release Day Review of Dirty Filthy Fix by Laurelin Paige!
Dirty Filthy Fix is a short novella in Laurelin Paige’s Fixed Series, and there was certainly some steam flying off of these pages with this read!
Review of The Prince: A Prologue (Masterpiece Duet) by Skye Warren!
From New York Times bestselling author Skye Warren comes an emotional new spin-off series. The Prince is a 13,000-word prologue to the new Masterpiece Duet.
Penny doesn’t dream about a prince coming to save her from the trailer park. She knows better than that.
DaisyGal’s Review:
I have to admit that Skye Warren’s books have piqued my interest for quite a while now. Every time she has a new release, it seems to always catch my eye with her unique and somewhat dark storylines, but for some unexplainable reason I have yet to read one. Since I have really struggled this year staying engaged in my books, I decided it was time to change things up as well as try out a ‘new to me’ author. The Prince was a very emotional and intriguing introduction to both her writing and new Masterpiece Duet!

Battered, barefoot, and huddled under a bookstore awning in the pouring rain, Blue only knows one thing. After fifteen months of captivity, finally… she is free.
