All I can say is WOW! As part of my Branching Out Series, I am so glad that I happened upon this book which is my first to read of Nina West’s writing. I really loved it and am so excited to have found a new author to enjoy!

This is the story of Abbi Mitchell, the quietly sexy ginger and completely innocent farm girl who travels to Alaska and meets Henry Wolf, a sexy lumberjack who unexpectedly happens to also be the business tycoon and owner of Wolf Hotels. When he offers her the job as his personal assistant, what will be the cost for her to work for this beautiful man and billionaire?

I love how Abbi and Henry’s characters complimented each other so well. Abbi was so unique in her quiet insecurities, yet she was bold and courageous in so many ways. I adored Abbi’s quit whit and ability to call a spade a spade, and her inability to hold back her curiosity in dealing with Henry. In turn, I totally enjoyed how Henry was so gruff, bold, and businesslike, yet so different in his way of dealing with Abbi. Although forced to always maintain the business appearance in public together, Henry was able to open up and share sweet moments of an alternate reality when they were alone.

Anticipation…I seriously can’t think of a book that I have read recently where I was filled with more ‘edge of my seat’ anticipation. The buildup in Abbi and Henry’s relationship was absolutely enthralling and consuming! I simply love West’s writing style which is so descriptive yet not overwhelming, and she gives just the right touch of information to pull you in and leave you anxiously awaiting more.

Can you say steamy? This book has completely smoking hot love scenes!

I simply love books that travel to unique locations, and West did a terrific job of pulling me into the Alaskan setting and the Wolf hotel. I really enjoyed the banter and interaction of Abbi, Henry, and all of the other hotel staff in the story as well. Also combined with a lot of good humor – this made for an excellent read for me!

The cliffhanger – ugh! Be ready to dive straight into Wolf Bite / Break Me (The Wolf Hotel #2) in the series which is available now!
